Rostraver Township hosts a county park named Cedar Creek. The park is located in Rostraver Township, ¼ mile north of the I-70 interchange on State Route 51. The 464 acre park has many facilities. There is an outdoor amphitheater for your entertainment. The park features the Youghiogheny River Trail for hiking and biking river front trail (20 miles), cross country skiing and an equestrian trail. There is ample parking and is handicapped accessible.
Cedar Creek Park has a station that offers bicycle rentals. There is the Cedar Creek Gorge which water cascades down the natural shale steps in this deep gorge cut out by Cedar Creek. The Mon-Valley R/C Club operates out of Cedar Creek Park in which you can observe these diminutive aircraft performing.
Cedar Creek Park has facilities which include ball fields, soccer fields, playground equipment, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, areas for fishing, toboggan and sled riding areas. Cedar Creek Park holds August Fun Fest and Summer Concert Series which are annual programs. The park has picnic areas and 19 pavilions located throughout which will accommodate groups up to 500.
