Rostraver Township: Overweight Highway Occupancy/Right-Of-Way Work
OVERWEIGHT HIGHWAY OCCUPANCY/RIGHT-OF-WAY WORK APPLICATION
Please make sure all items are addressed on the application especially the following items.
- Will the applicant have any subcontractors traveling with overweight vehicles that will be covered under this road bond?
**If yes, a list of those subcontractors MUST be provided on the applicant’s letterhead with an authorized signature. Those subcontractors not listed and traveling with overweight vehicles will be subject to fines and penalties.
Receipt is hereby acknowledged the applicant is aware of Rostraver Township Chapter 187 and General Provisions and Specifications governing said application.
Also provide safe and convenient passage upon the Township highway.
Applicant must provide a transportation route map stating distance traveled on each road.
Applicant shall submit at time of application a road restoration plan that indicates how the applicant plans to address damage to Township roads.
An inventory of the condition of the road(s) shall be done by Township Road Supervisor.
Road bonding is set by Township Engineer and a bond agreement will be executed and posted
Must submit $500.00 for each application due at the time of submittal. Check is to be made out to Rostraver Township.
Any application not fully filled out and without all items listed attached will be returned without being processed.
§ 175-31. Street base course.
§ 175-32. Street pavement specifications.
A. All street construction, including subbase and wearing course, shall be constructed in accordance with Township specifications. (See the Pavement/Underdrain Detail, included at the end of this chapter.)
B. The governing body may authorize an alternate pavement design where the drainage of the subgrade, the size of the development and the nature of the traffic warrants.
