Rostraver/West Newton Emergency Service
The mission of Rostraver/West Newton Emergency Services is to render the best and most efficient clinical care in Emergency Medicine. Our employees and volunteers are highly trained and are always furthering their education in EMS, through technology and with the most advance equipment available today.
Rostraver/West Newton Emergency Services currently has 5 station locations throughout The Mon Valley Area, with its administrative office located in Rostraver Township. Our family consist of 70 employees and volunteers. In 2015 we responded to over 10,000 emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance. Our coverage area encompasses 3 counties: Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland.
In 2019, we purchased (3) new ambulances. We also purchased bullet proof vests for all our staff to make sure that our responders are protected. Assaults on all "emergency responders" are at an all-time high.
In 2015, we were the proud recipients of The American Heart Association 2015 Mission Lifeline Award. This award is given for the quick response, patient care, and patient outcome for patients that are suffering from heart attacks. (www.heart.org)
