Rostraver Township Commissioners John Lorenzo, Gary Beck, Ray Iacoboni, and Devin DeRienzo along with Rostraver Township Manager Jeffrey Keffer, Road Supervisor/Rostraver Recreation Commission Tom Godzak, State Representative Eric Davanzo, Collinsburg Fire Department and residents attended the opening of the Collinsburg Community Park.  The opening was Phase I of the Collinsburg Community Park.  The newly developed park has a full-size regulation basketball court, playground equipment and a pavilion.

Phase 1 of the project cost $80,000 and was part of the state’s COSTARS program, for cooperative purchasing. The park was completed by the Rostraver Road Department and national playground provider GameTime.

Commissioner Lorenzo said the development of the park, which used to be the site of abandoned tennis courts, began in January with the help of the Rostraver Township Commissioners and the Rostraver Recreation Board.
