Rostraver Township has received a Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful 25 in 25 grant award for the DiVirgilio Sports Complex Playground Beautification. On October 2, 2015, fifteen volunteers gathered to lend a hand to plant landscaping and spread wood fiber mulch around the newly installed DiVirgilio Sports Complex Playground.

This project was funded through numerous grants: Bitting Recreation through GameTime, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources through the Greenways Trails and Recreation Program, and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful 25 in 25. This has been a long process but what a wonderful opportunity to show how various agencies can work together with numerous grant funding sources and community volunteers to bring a project to life.
